Location: Meyrin ch
- Introduction:
- "We have a pond in Meyrin that was very badly designed by a pond-installation company. It's situated next to a large tree that keeps dropping its leaves in the water. We wish we had joined this pond club earlier, to avoid that company's many mistakes."
- Would you like to get some goldfish or aquatic plants from Suzanne and Peter for your own pond? Do you have any fish or plants you'd like to offer to other members?
- "Until we find solutions to all the problems with our pond, we shouldn't accept any fish or plants. But we're impressed that the club's leaders offer everyone their excess fish and plants. The members' generosity is a reason we like this club so much."
- How did you learn about our Geneva Area Pond Club? Please specify the web site or bulletin board location or person from whom you learned about us. Will you tell any friends interested in ponds about us too? Membership and meetings are all free.
- "We overheard customers talking about the club at Eau et Nature and also in the water-garden section of Jardiland. We asked for details, logged on to the web site, were immediately impressed with all the information here, and joined the club."
- Which topics would you like to hear discussed at our next meeting? Have you submitted your RSVP yet to let us know whether or not you can attend the upcoming meeting? Click to get full details under "Upcoming Group Events" on our Welcome page.
- "We have a gigantic filter next to our pond that looks ugly and has to be cleaned out every week or two. We'd like to learn all about the biological filter designed by Peter, which is hidden under water and needs to be rinsed off just once a year."
- If you already have a pond, how would you describe its size and appearance? What kind of plants and fish inhabit the pond? If you don't yet have a pond, would you like to learn how to create one? Can you offer (or do you need) any pond equipment?
- "The design and construction decisions made by the supposedly professional pond builders have been frustrating us for years. We're now considering taking apart the old pond and building a new one ourselves, based on advice in the pond club's website."
- In what town near Geneva do you live? Can you host one of our informal get-togethers there? Simple snacks and beverages are all we expect, but if you want to make our get-together a bigger party, should we all bring a dish to share?
- "We live in Meyrin. Our house is small but we have a large garden. We could host a large meeting in the garden in warm weather, but only a small meeting indoors in the winter. We can serve snacks to a large group, and a full meal to a small group."
- Additional information:
- "Because our pond was so badly designed and constructed, it hasn't given us much pleasure over the years. Now that we're members of this club and meeting many other pond owners, we expect to rebuild our pond and enjoy water gardening much more."

Meetups
-
Geneva Area Turtle and Tortoise Society
"Peter's knowledge about turtles and tortoises seems unlimited. We've learned everything we need to know about their care, feeding and breeding at the club's very informative meetings."
-
Geneva Area Pond Club
"We had no idea we'd learn so much about pond care at our very first meeting. But it wasn't all work and no play. We socialized with all the other members, and heard lots of jokes to tell to friends back home. This group knows how to laugh!"
