Location: Genève ch
- Introduction:
- "We bought our house in Bellevue because it was the only one we found with a pond in the garden. Ponds enhance the beauty of a garden, and create a wonderful ambience when guests visit. When days are warm enough, we have all our meals beside our pond."
- Would you like to get some goldfish or aquatic plants from Suzanne and Peter for your own pond? Do you have any fish or plants you'd like to offer to other members?
- "With over 100 species of plants in their ponds, Suzanne and Peter can add variety to our own ponds, so we'll pick some plants up at the next meeting in their garden. We can offer a few plants and fish from our own pond to other club members."
- How did you learn about our Geneva Area Pond Club? Please specify the web site or bulletin board location or person from whom you learned about us. Will you tell any friends interested in ponds about us too? Membership and meetings are all free.
- "We first heard an interview with Peter on WRG-FM a few years ago, but neglected to write down the contact information. Our friend Adrien Scott joined the club recently and told us about it, so we signed up right away. We can hardly believe it's free!"
- Which topics would you like to hear discussed at our next meeting? Have you submitted your RSVP yet to let us know whether or not you can attend the upcoming meeting? Click to get full details under "Upcoming Group Events" on our Welcome page.
- "We submitted our 'Yes' RSVP for our first meeting as soon as we joined the club. We saw the main topics of discussion at the next dozen or so meetings, and the club leaders seem to have every subject of interest to pond owners already covered. Bravo."
- If you already have a pond, how would you describe its size and appearance? What kind of plants and fish inhabit the pond? If you don't yet have a pond, would you like to learn how to create one? Can you offer (or do you need) any pond equipment?
- "Our pond measures about four meters by six meters, and its depth ranges from 30 to 60 centimeters. We've lost too many expensive koi to visiting herons, so now we keep only goldfish. Our plants are mostly common water lilies, white, yellow and pink."
- In what town near Geneva do you live? Can you host one of our informal get-togethers there? Simple snacks and beverages are all we expect, but if you want to make our get-together a bigger party, should we all bring a dish to share?
- "Our home is in Bellevue, just north of Geneva. We can host only small meetings, with snacks. On checking the club's past meetings, we see many more people attend in summer than in winter, so we'll probably volunteer to host only a winter meeting."
- Additional information:
- "Apparently all the expenses of the pond club are being paid by its leaders, including the cost of maintaining this web site. Shouldn't all the members be paying annual dues? A monthly fee? Admission to each meeting? A little contribution? Anything?"

"The people we met at our very first meeting made us feel as if we were family. Everyone was very welcoming, and interested in everything we had to say. We never made friends so quickly before. The club leaders' outgoing personalities seem to encourage outgoing people to join the club. Kudos."
