"Although I worked in the Geneva offices of the UN for years, I now operate my own business as a French-English translator on a freelance basis. I have homes and ponds just outside London and in Versoix."

Would you like to get some goldfish or aquatic plants from Suzanne and Peter for your own pond? Do you have any fish or plants you'd like to offer to other members?

"My past experiences with goldfish convinced me to have none in my ponds, because they multiply too prolifically. I keep just koi carp and bitterlings now, but have none to spare. A discussion on breeding koi carp would be much appreciated."

If you already have a pond, how would you describe its size and appearance? What kind of plants and fish inhabit the pond? If you don't yet have a pond, would you like to learn how to create one? Can you offer (or do you need) any pond equipment?

"My Versoix pond is 4 by 6 meters by 1/2 meter deep. It's lined with butyl rubber. My London pond is 3 by 4 meters by 1 meter deep. It's a concrete pond, because it was constructed before flexible linings were available."

In what town near Geneva do you live? Can you host one of our informal get-togethers there? Simple snacks and beverages are all we expect, but if you want to make our get-together a bigger party, should we all bring a dish to share?

"Versoix is a few kilometers north of Geneva, on Lac Leman. I'd prefer that club members meet in other members' homes, although I could accommodate a few if no other meeting place is available."
